Getting Started with Integration

Upon creating your CareNote account, you'll be greeted with the option to import data or start without import. For those utilizing Breeze Church Management, importing your data into CareNote is straightforward and efficient.

Importing Data from Breeze

  1. Selecting the Import Option: On your dashboard, click on ‘Import Data’ to begin. You'll be presented with two options: importing from Planning Center Online or Breeze. For this guide, choose the Breeze option.
  2. Adding Your API Key: Breeze uses an API key to securely share data. To find your API key in Breeze, go to the gear icon on the top right, select 'Manage Account', and navigate to the API key section. Note: You might need to contact Breeze support to obtain this key.
  3. Entering the Subdomain: The subdomain is the specific identifier for your Breeze account, located before '.breezechms.com' in your Breeze URL. For instance, if your URL is 'carenoteapp.breezechms.com', your subdomain is 'carenoteapp'.
  4. Completing the Process: After pasting your API key and subdomain in CareNote, click 'Create'. This action links your Breeze account with CareNote and readies it for data import.
  5. Starting the Import: Once linked, click on 'Start Breeze Import'. A notification will inform you that the import has begun and you will receive an email and an in-app notification once the import is complete.

If you encounter issues, CareNote guides you through the workflow to ensure correct information input. Removing and re-entering the API key and subdomain can often resolve common integration issues.
