This month's CareNote updates include enhanced team management with a new Volunteer role, expanded reporting capabilities with a redesigned Reports page, and significant Planning Center Online integration improvements. Core Platform Improvements
Enhanced Team & Volunteer Management
CareNote now supports a dedicated Volunteer role for email-only team members. This makes it easier to include volunteers in your care coordination without granting unnecessary system access—perfect for larger churches managing diverse care teams.
Care Group Organization
We've introduced a new Care Group management framework that helps you organize and track group assignments, responsibilities, and activity across specialized ministry areas. Keep your care teams coordinated and accountable with better visibility into who's serving where.
Smarter Contact Management
Phone numbers are now automatically standardized across the platform. This improvement reduces duplicate entries, enhances search accuracy, and ensures SMS notifications reach the right people every time.
Planning Center Online Integration
This month brought substantial improvements to our PCO integration:
- More reliable syncing with enhanced token handling and webhook support
- Better form submission processing from PCO
- Expanded logging to help you troubleshoot issues faster
- Fixed OAuth and sync errors that previously caused intermittent connection problems
These updates mean less manual troubleshooting and more time focused on care.
New Features
Personal Notification Preferences
Your team members can now manage their own notification settings. Everyone can choose what they want to be notified about and through which channels (email, SMS, or in-app), reducing notification fatigue while keeping everyone informed about what matters most.
Redesigned Reports Experience
The new dedicated Reports page consolidates all your reporting tools in one place with a cleaner layout and dark mode support. Generate, review, and download the insights you need with a more intuitive interface.
Improved Onboarding & Navigation
We've redesigned the multiuser dashboard with clearer metrics and more actionable insights. New team members also benefit from updated welcome screens and a Key Terms section that explains essential CareNote concepts, getting everyone up to speed faster.
Multi-Channel Notification System
A comprehensive notification framework now powers CareNote's alerts with support for email, SMS, and in-app notifications. New events tied to care requests, PCO syncing, and provider actions keep your team informed in real-time.
Enhanced Administration & Security
Better Account & Team Management
- Force logout capability for administrators when needed
- Improved delete account process that properly cleans up all related records
- Enhanced multi-team handling for churches managing multiple campuses or ministries
Expanded Activity Tracking
